2023: Autumn Workshop (Milan, 29 November 2023)

The 2023 Autumn Workshop of the Financial Intermediation Network of European Studies (FINEST) is held in Milan on Wednesday, 29 November 2023. The workshop is jointly organized by the University of Essex and the University of Milan.

Financial Intermediation Network of European Studies (FINEST) workshops are small meetings with an in-depth discussion (from top scholars) of a limited number of high-quality papers to foster discussion among academics, policymakers, and practitioners about the evolving challenges facing banks. In the 2023 Autumn Workshop, we accepted five full papers for presentation and three early idea proposals.

We invite submission of papers (or research proposals for the early idea session) in all areas related to financial intermediation, including bank risk-taking, regulation, supervision, financial stability, ownership structure and governance issues, market structure and competition, FinTech, and with a focus on sustainable finance and policy changes.

Discussants:

The workshop also includes a roundtable on sustainable finance with Giorgio Gobbi (Bank of Italy), Carmelo Salleo (European Central Bank), Andrea Sironi (Bocconi University & Assicurazioni Generali).
